DELIVERING RESPONSE TO COVID-19

During this COVID-19 pandemic period, Flex Energy offers Off-grid solar energy solutions for thousands of people in Kenya, helping make households, businesses, farmers, and institutions more resilient to the COVID-19 crisis.

However, the pandemic also threatens the off-grid solar industry, particularly it’s very successful pay-as-you-go (PAYGo) business model offered by us, which allows very low-income earners to buy a Home Solar System (HSS), solar lamps and energy-saving coal stoves then pay it off gradually while benefiting from our solutions, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

As Flex Energy with a PAYGo payment model, we are doing the much we can to help our customers cope with the COVID-19 pandemic situation. We offer limited grace periods for our reliable customers who are struggling to pay. We offer discounts and/or bonuses for our solar energy solutions. We also work tirelessly to cushion our customers by scheduling payment plans to lower the payment amount and extend the terms of payment.

Flex Energy is also committed to product designing that suits our customers during this period. During this disgraceful period, we offer smaller and cheaper products to our existing customers who are unable to afford larger products. Recently the team also decided that we will start buying back a Home Solar Systems (HSS) that are currently not being used by our customers during this COVID-19 pandemic period. Swapping them for lanterns with also be a nice idea that could help them.
